Completed capes and dresses and I am very proud of them.
They are delicate and bold at the same time.Impossible?Well , not so impossible, Mon Zu says.
I am working on a very intriguing hat prototype, and its pattern is making me mad :)
By the way, it is so funny ,I like the way the idea is coming real and it is adsorbing my spare time at all :)

Hallo :)

Capes and dresses are almost complete now .

The first hat prototype is on the design desk;it is fantastic when I can start from an idea and then invent a new pattern to make my idea real.

A wonderful challange;it is a summary of art, tecnique, geometry, study of the fabric according with wishes and results. After making a drawing, in italian called 'bozzetto', I start looking for the right geometry for the pattern and the fabric and then transfer the drawing to the basic pattern and then I sew the first garment using a white cotton fabric to understand all the little imperfections of the pattern. So the prototype is born; but then, of course, I change it again and again until the final result is next to my first drawing.

You can aske me :don't the basic patterns work ?

Of course they work perfectly but the central point I am focusing is;

ORIGINALITY

Sometimes outfits ask me to be sewed out from the fabric ......yes, I love Michelangelo, even if I can not compare me to him, of course.

This doesn't mean, of course, that I never use basic patterns too,but just when they are perfect and match in the right and precise way the wished results for the first drawing and used fabric.

Anyway, why have I to use a pattern that can be found on internet quite easily, use it over and over making always the same dresses changing just the fabric, selling them at high prices?

I am not that type of person; I respect other people's work , I have seen many clothes made this way , they are wonderful but I am able enough to make original patterns by myself and, most of all, the creation work makes me happy

So I will go on this way :)

I hope to be always so happy and in love with a great sense of work :)

What about hats, Mon Zu?

Good inquiry.

Well, I am working on a good project right now and this hat matches very well with cape and little dress too :)

As usual, not an usual hat, of course :)

I am happy.
Today I have solved the lining procedure for all the parts of the dress so that there will never be stains problems, so common for this kind of dolls.
Stains can ruin the dolls not only on their legs but arms, face ,and body too.It can happen with some cottons; so,I have choosen first quality cottons but I wanted something more.

And you know, when Mon Zu has his ideas he follows them completely; nothing it is impossible......even if it means a lot of work behind the scenes. O_O'

Now I can sew lining completely and perfectly and the doll will never contact the fabric with colors ; the procedure seems to be a classical ballet, quite complicate ,but it is really funny , it gives wonderful results and improves the dresses, making them completely safe.

You have to consider that on internet you can find the 'usual' lining procedure, that leaves sleeves and some seams (the lateral ones, for example)not covered by lining and so there could be stains of the fabric on the body in these areas .

So when I have found , sewing and sewing again and sewing once again on prototypes the way to overcome this defects making the dresses safer I have felt and still feel happy considering the love and ......the price for the Blythe girls :)

The cape is just perfect, very geometrical and fashionable.

Happy Happy Happy Happy Happy Happy Happy Happy Happy Happy Happy Happy Happy Happy

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh

At last I have got time to sew :)....at five o clock in the morning !!!!!!

Anyway I have improved an a-line pattern I have already used so that the sleeve fits perfectly now and the dress is a little bit shorter and more like the mini dresses of the Mod era like the ones I have seen on Twiggy.WONDERFUL ,I like them they are very dynamic and feminine at the same time.

The a-line dress is a very versatile dress; geometric and easy to take care.

Yesterday I have received a fabric that could be very good for the S.Valentine dresses and I am going to use it for the two commissions,as promised.

But just a dress could be not enough, after all we are in the winter ,it is cold and so I will add a cape or a coat to make the outfit more glamorous and mod according with the dress .I have alredy sewn a cape with a geometric design ,and it matches perfectly with this dress so I think it is OK.

So I can start sewing the definitive dresses after the 'prototypes' built to study the projects.

Anyway the research centre at Mon Zu is going to go on after the dressand cape set , and that is the part I like the best; new exciting challanges to make real the ideas I have got!!!!

Tagged :)
Well how can a shy person like me talk about herself?
I do not know... I am too shy
Well, I have solved the shyness writing what my friends say about me and the things I like :)
I want to thank everyone for having tagged me and I must apologize ,I'm late with reply : in my life this is a very busy time but you all, dear friends , are like a fresh air at dawn to me

1) I love colours and arts :I consider them as living elements .I'm lucky enough to live in a country where art is at home and colours are everywhere so I can find it in rainbows, flowers, sea, painting, sun....really everywhere.
2) I love life in all its preciousness : every second we live is a gift.
3) I love animals : dogs and cats are my favourites but how can I resist two sweet hedgehog eyes? Ok, in doubt, I love every creature, and at the end of my days I'll have a giraffe in my garden!!!
4) I love friendship: I think it's a real value ,it 's easier to give and it's warmer when you receive .I hope I 'll never be a scrooge!!!!!
5) My wished diet is : pizza and ice cream.....I say "wished" diet
6) I tenderly take care of my Blythe sisters respecting their artistic personalities.Sometime it is very hard and I thank them for all the funny moments we live together!!!!!
7) I like reading : crimes stories,novels,romances.Dickson Carr,Candace Robb,Georgette Heyer,Antonia and Flora Fraser,Deanna Raybourn ,Anthony Bardin,Astrid Lindgren,Elisabeth Ferrars and so on
8) I love stopping to look at a sunset :with all its gorgeous pinks and oranges and yellows and shy blues everyday it gives me a sense of peace that comes before and after everything.
9) I love gardening : roses, lavanders, forsythiae, snowdrops, lilies of the valley, daffodils etc.. I prefer landscape gardening 'cos I respect the nature and I always try to insert wild plants letting them to be completely free according with William Robinson and Gertrude Jeckyll theories even if Lenotre's gardens at Versailles or the Boboli garden are my faves
10) I like fashion : not one era or one only designer
11) J'adore my family and all the love I receive from them
12) I would like to travel and, having time,go around the world on a train like the Orient Express : I believe time is necessary to know real lights and tastes behind a postcard as for people. My motto for travels : festine lente!
13) I love cooking for the people I love and testing new recipes
14) I respect myself and,by conseguence, people around me.About this attitude my motto : live and let everyone live ( in this, Voltaire had been my teacher :"I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it. " 'cos your right is mine too)
15) When I've time I love to take shots not to stop a moment in the eternity (we can never have got time) but to remember an emotion that catches my eye and my heart
16) I believe in intense work: it gives the opportunity to overcome my limits and do better .It's always a challenge to discover new shades of ourselves : sometimes it can be hard and hurts us but I know everyone of us already does her/his best! Thank you World.

Kisses and hugs with a serene and joyful smile to you,my dear and patient reader
Ps:I love this shot,my granma has taken it suddenly as a joke ,last summer we spent together.I love you, Nonna (KISS)

New ideas coming in my mind.
It is a very busy period of my life ; I run all day long up and down and sometime I wonder how and when can I find just a second to rest.

And in all this busy business new sewing ideas are coming in my mind: my hands tremble happy to sew something new again.

Well, on Xmas time I have seen and then bought the new fabrics I loved and now my unconscious mind has elaborated peacefully the new patterns, combinations and so on.

I like exploring new patterns for my Blythe sisters : always starting from the ususal ones when I start a project then I like developing my own ideas.
That is the reason why you can always find not the usual a line dress, not the usual jumpsuit on my sewing machine.

I will describe the way Monsieur Zu creates; it can be funny .
Monsieur Zu,for short Mon Zu,will be happy to be interviewed.....but....oh dear,he likes talking....it is incredible how much he talks.....it will be difficult to stop him :)

The new ideas are asking me with their soft voice : 'when will you make me? when will I come alive?"
Soon my dear, very soon ;I know I can find time for you too and I think I really need the relaxing sensations I feel when I sew something I like.

So, be patient just for a little while longer , new ideas, just for a little while.
